Control libraries and simulation for electrified systems.
Validated Simulink function libraries for power distribution and battery management, delivered with calibration data and V&V evidence, and the plant models to test them before hardware exists.
PDU control libraries Available
Every power distribution unit needs the same building blocks: current and voltage acquisition, contactor sequencing, isolation monitoring, HVIL detection and power limits. Our PDU libraries deliver them as pre-validated, calibration-documented Simulink function blocks that drop into your model, with a V&V report included.
Functions
- Signal acquisition: current, voltage and temperature
- Contactor control and pre-charge sequencing
- Isolation monitoring and HVIL detection
- DCDC mode manager and charge state (CCS) management
- Power limits, charge limits and statistics
- Fault monitoring, escalation and reactions
- Signal acquisition
- Current, voltage and temperature sensors
- Operating state
- Supervisory state, DCDC mode manager, charge state (CCS)
- Monitoring
- Isolation monitor, HVIL, fault escalation and reactions
- Power management
- Power limits and charge limits
- Statistics
- Charge cycles, contactor state of health
BMS libraries In development
State of charge and state of health estimation are among the most demanding algorithms in battery software. These modules package estimation algorithms for multiple cell chemistries and pack configurations, ready to integrate into your BMS Simulink architecture.
Planned modules
- State of charge: coulomb counting and model-based estimation
- State of health and degradation modelling
- State of discharge and available-energy prediction
- Custom modules to your cell specification
- Supporting models
- Equivalent-circuit cell models, module and pack thermal-electrical models
- Characterisation
- Pulse discharge, HPPC and EIS data analysis

What every library ships with
Reuse only saves time if the evidence comes with the function. Each library is delivered as a complete package.
Deliverables
- Simulink library blocks and generated MISRA C
- Validation report and V&V evidence
- Calibration label list with defaults, ranges and units, ready for INCA or CANape
- Signal interface description and integration guide
- Versioned delivery under configuration management
- Integration
- Designed to drop into an existing Simulink architecture without structural changes to your model or BSW configuration.
- Standards
- Developed to ISO 26262 and ASPICE practice.
Custom libraries
When no off-the-shelf library fits your architecture, we build one. We take your functional requirements, design the function blocks, verify them against your requirements at MiL and SiL, and deliver the same complete package as our standard libraries.
What we do
- Library development from your functional requirements
- MiL and SiL verification against agreed test cases
- Calibration documentation: labels, units, ranges and defaults
- Signal interface specification and integration guide
- Versioned delivery with configuration management
- Typical scope
- Signal acquisition, operating state, contactor and actuator logic, monitoring, power and energy management, statistics and custom KPIs
Simulation services
Finding a requirement error in simulation costs a fraction of finding it on a vehicle or an aircraft. We provide the plant models, virtual sensors and MiL/SiL environments your control engineers need to validate every requirement and corner case before an ECU is programmed.
What we do
- Control system unit and integration simulation
- Plant models for MiL and SiL test environments
- Virtual sensor and actuator models
- Closed-loop simulation with fully integrated plant models
- Simulation-based requirement verification
- Tools
- MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, Simulink Test
- Plant models
- Electrical, thermal and mechanical Simscape models
- Integration
- MiL and SiL environment configuration
MATLAB tools and apps
Model-based development produces large volumes of simulation data, test logs and calibration sets. Our scripts and App Designer applications automate ingestion, analysis and reporting, so engineers spend their time on engineering.
What we do
- Custom App Designer applications for engineering workflows
- Automation for model build, test execution and reporting
- Post-processing for simulation and HiL data
- Batch simulation and parameter sweeps
- Test management and coverage reporting
- Tools
- MATLAB, App Designer, Simulink
- Pipelines
- CI/CD, Jenkins and DevOps integration
High voltage interlock loop (HVIL)
Highlights from our HVIL controls, software and system requirements design. The functionality is deployed to production vehicles and meets ISO 26262 and IEC 61851. The full package of system and software requirements, Simulink models and V&V results is available on request.
Battery thermal management system (BTMS)
Our BTMS software keeps batteries at their best across operating conditions, with active cooling, passive cooling, heating, diagnostics and preconditioning. It manages the full thermal envelope on its own, responding to cell temperature, ambient conditions and driver demand in real time.
